Photography is a set of specialisms
The skills behind excellent wedding coverage — reacting fast, working in uncontrolled light, staying unobtrusive across a long day — are close to the opposite of what product or portrait photography demands, which is controlled lighting, precision and repeatability. A studio strong in one is not automatically competent in another, so match the studio to the job rather than to a general reputation.
Judge a studio on one complete recent job of the type you need, not on a highlight reel. Highlights show the ceiling of what a team can produce; a full gallery shows the floor, which is what you are actually buying across a whole event.
